- in a few days you can cover all the vessels with dense plastic lids, after which we lower them into a cool basement, where they will wait for their time.

Interestingly, the berry, even at room temperature, does not get moldy, but the fact is that its composition contains bactericidal substances, which, in fact, prevent possible fermentation.

2. Spicy lingonberries with syrup

In general, all the same ingredients will be needed as for the first recipe, only some of them will be used in other proportions:

  • Two tablespoons of sugar
  • Two teaspoons of salt

We also need different spices, which you can combine, depending on your taste preferences.

But our recipe implies the simultaneous use of cinnamon in its natural form (sticks), vanillin, ground black pepper, cloves.

If you are impressed with all the spices, then you can safely follow the recipe, since the taste will be simply unforgettable.

But if you do not like excessive sharpness, then you can exclude ground pepper, for example.

The following actions will be:

- we touch the berries, we immediately wash them all at once, after which we wait until they dry out of moisture. After that, we should split the berries into several cans,

- Syrup is prepared on the same principle: boil water and add all the ingredients to it. When the sugar is dissolved, and the aromas of cinnamon and vanilla spread around the house, you can immediately turn off our fill. We are waiting for her temperature to be at room temperature,

- fill the berries with warm pouring and leave to stand for two days, while covering each jar with gauze. After two days, we cover the cans with nylon covers and place them in a cool place (it may even be a storeroom).

This soaked cowberries should be left for a long time, because every day its taste becomes brighter, thanks to the interaction with our spicy syrup.

Every day the syrup will become redder, which means that the exchange of substances between the syrup and the berries is still in progress.

By the way, you can safely drink the syrup, because it somehow resembles a cool summer compote, and even with spices. If you are a fan of sugary drinks, the amount of sugar for such a volume of syrup can be adjusted.

Wet cowberries for the winter - recipes

In general, we really can preserve one part of the berries in the juice, which we get from other berries. Thus, the concentration of vitamins in one jar of such a drink with berries will be off the scale.

So, let's consider in stages the process of this type of canning, for which we need a sufficiently large number of berries, therefore, it is better to make a decent stock right away.

And the other part is waiting for a juicer test in order to get a clean and healthy juice. By the way, the juice is best to let the smaller berries, but large ones just have to show off in the bank.
  1. In the resulting lingonberry juice dissolve about 200 grams of sugar. You can squeeze all the juices from the berry using a juicer, but if you don’t have one, you can simply rub the berries and then squeeze the juice from the mashed potatoes. And this is done with simple gauze.
  1. Lingonberry juice must be boiled for ten minutes, then immediately pour it our red lingonberry beads. We close each jar with a lid and voila, lingonberries in its own juice is ready.
